Settings → Subscription manager
Manage your subscription list. After logging into your 8Way account the subscription is added automatically; you can also add other subscription links manually, add / rename / delete multiple subscriptions, and switch between them on the home screen.
Settings → Tools → Copy proxy environment
Copies the local proxy address and terminal environment variables (http_proxy / https_proxy / all_proxy; port = current local proxy port) to the clipboard. Paste them into a terminal and CLI tools like git, curl and pip go through 8Way — handy for command-line development.
Settings → Tools → Share invite
After login, tap to generate your personal invite link and copy it. When a friend registers through the link, both of you get a reward. If not logged in or on failure, a message shows in place.
Settings → Smart proxy timeout
Timeout (seconds) for the post-connect exit verification check. Default 8 s, adjustable 3–30. Smaller = faster check but may false-alarm on slower nodes; larger = steadier but waits longer. Most users can keep the default.
Settings → Direct domains
A custom list of domains that skip the proxy, separated by commas or new lines. Takes effect immediately after saving (Smart mode): listed domains go direct — good for intranet addresses or sites that are faster locally.
Settings → Check for updates
Manually check for a new 8Way client version; the result shows right below: update found / up to date / check failed. The client also checks automatically at startup — when an update is available, a banner appears at the top of the home screen; tap it to download and install (desktop: automatic download, verify and install; Android: in-app download and install, asks first on non-Wi-Fi). You can also re-download from the download page any time.
